The Salt Guy in the Masala City

This post about me being in Chennai. 15th Of july’13 is the day when I had my first day in my first company, TCS…. The initial training session happened in Trivandrum. Having completed my MBA degree in Madurai TSM, it was really different to see people from from different parts of India attending the training. After two weeks of fun-free training, I was asked to report to Chennai to have my project induction in Siruseri.

I came back to my hometown Tuticorin before leaving for Chennai – for two things. First, to take Amma to Chennai – I want her to see Siruseri – atleast she will be proud that her son is going to work for a big company. Next, but the most important thing to meet Juju before officially starting my career.

JUJU, the green girl , one with not too many interesting things about her – but still the only girl who can bring smile in my face any time. The girl who I loved and still loving the most. About her, she is from Madurai – father is a retired military man and mother – an usual , traditional Madurai mother. At this moment, our parents were not aware of our relationship. But we were lucky. Juju got a job in my place and she stays in a hostel over here.

I would like to start the story here.

EVENING in the BEACH PARK:

I picked up Juju at her bank. As usual I was late. She wanted me to meet her at 3 PM so that we can spend sometime before leaving for the bus to Chennai which starts at 8 PM. I meet her around 4.30 PM. She was angry (a little) and sad (to a larger part) but she made up a smile in her face. She didn’t want to waste a  minute in doing anything other than holding my hands. We went to the Beach Park in our favorite vehicle – my sister Streak. Usually Juju used to hold me tightly, and this time, the hold was even harder. After reaching the beach road, she wants to ride the vehicle and me sitting behind her and speaking to her ears. We drove for some 10 minutes and then stopped at our usual spot – the one with the view of the Thermal Power Plant exactly opposite to it.

I want to hold Juju’s hands for a longtime. Slowly, the reality that we are not going to see each other atleast for the next one week hit me. I tried for some funny stories to divert her but I couldn’t. Finally Juju broke the silence by asking when I will be back. I replied “May be in a week?”It may sound funny – but both of us felt about being not able to see each other for a week. I started consoling her. She cried, the sight I couldn’t bear to see. I took her hands tightly and trying hardly not to cry.

With all these emotions flowing, I could hear my mobile ringing. It is my Amma calling me that we are getting late for the bus and it is already 6.30 PM. I don’t know how time went that fast. Juju understood things and she said that we want to leave. Just then, we are walking towards our vehicle. I wanted to see her face again. I turned towards her and kissed Juju on her lips. It was only 5 seconds. Then Juju said ” I LOVE YOU”.

I left Juju in her hostel. I was not able to see her sad face. I went home hiding my tears. I reached home ad hurried to the bus – which would be very late usually. We got into the bus. As the bus was moving out of the Salt City – the skies opened. I thought “What my girl would be doing now?”

I LOVE YOU, JUJU.

The Fragrance Girl

I often wondered why do I feel a special fragrance when my girl was around me. Lately, (now) even when I am not getting to see her, I can feel the same awesomatic fragrance around me. May be, this is why people say that love is on the air.

I have started to understand that it is she , her thoughts that is making me crazy. God!!! Why I on earth I fell in love with a girl whose only big thing to achieve for now is to watch a movie and have popcorn and smile awkwardly every time for no reasons without any social constraints.. Why I am in love with her?

Well, this is the question that keeps me digging. It gets interesting day by day.

Bla.. bla .. life is crazy!!!! Juju, you are making it even unpredictable. I love that.
